Mad respect to these cats. People are capable of a lot if when they are dedicated, passionate, ambitious, creative, inspiration, and imaginative. Kane Smego was a classmate of mine, and this dude is one of the smartest cats I know namely because of his level of commitment to the future, and the emerging generations. This looks like a dope project, and definitely looking forward to the end product. The other video below was the winner of a high school competition in Washington DC. These are high school kids who got together and made this film, so many layers. so insightful. Man, I am inspired by these cats, and sometimes I wish I had friends who I could collab with to this extent. This is just absolutely inspiring. Add Comment New piece I wrote on the bioethics of the current revolutions sweeping the Middle East and North Africa. Check it out by clicking the image below! Here are some sites y'all might find useful in the knowledge seeking department. Edge's motto is 'To arrive at the edge of the world's knowledge, seek out the most complex and sophisticated minds, put them in a room together and have them ask each other the questions they are asking themselves.' I found out about this website when I was chatting with physicist Laura Mersini who basically told me about this site asks a question to some of the top scholars in the world, and everyone chimes in with their answers. 2011's question is: "What Scientific Concept Would Improve Everybody's Cognitive Toolkit?" Dropping Knowledge is a website that a friend of mine shared that is similar to the Edge. It is a collection of thought provoking questions that are open to the public allowing them to chime in with their insightful thoughts. You could learn a thing or two from reading all the responses. You can even pose some questions yourself. If you don't know, now you know. The Khan Academy, (founder Salman Khan, not to be confused with the terrible Bollywood star of the same name) seeks to improve the quality of education through online internet courses that are free and available to all with an internet connection. If you have an internet connection then welcome to the wealth of knowledge that is available to you. From vector calculus to banking to oncology. Welcome to the Education Revolution. Inspired by this idea of making the world a better place through critical thinking, The Dynasty emerged organically while I was in college. Friends would get together on Friday and Saturday nights at a local coffee shop to talk about issues and topics of great depth. Not wanting our conversations to go in vain, we vowed to continue these conversations outside of the coffee shop with others. Once we all graduated from school, we now hold our discussion sessions via email. A new question is sent out every month and by the end of the month all the contributions are anonymously put up on the site. We, too, hope to contribute a small portion to the Education Revolution. This Muammar Gaddafi character needs to straight up tried in the international courts. You can tell this dude is crazy from the way he perceives himself as it correlates to reality. He dresses like he is a hero but in reality he is a war criminal. He has hired Ghanaian, Ukrainian, Serbian, and soon Nigerian mercenaries to kill his own people, and straight up stockpiling on weapons from Belarus. And he jailed his Defense Minister when he refused to open fire on the Libyans. May peace come to Libya, and then Bahrain soon enough. Update: New Video by Aisha Saad over at OxfordFirst off, join the virtual support network created by Aisha Saad (the person you have been following on Twitter.com/aisaad). It was also featured on TV (Al Jazeera English) and other locations on the interwebs. The point of "attending" this virtual march is to generate support. Sure this won't feed the hungry, but its the absolutely LEAST you can do to show these protesters that you support their plea for freedom. CLICK THE IMAGE BELOW TO ATTEND! |
