Thank you everyone for visiting my site!  Greatly appreciate it!

On a more serious note, revolutions are important and great, but its also a very vulnerable point for a nation by which they can easily be taken advantage of and manipulated.  In Tunisia you have extreme secularism, and in Egypt you have rigidly authoritarian religious law, both which lead to tyranny.  Will another demagogic person seize the open seat?  Will another Ayatollah Khomeini rise, or will we see a Shirin Ebadi or Mohammad Khatami-type of person?  Or will there be a new, different person who we will judge independently?  Will the laws change?  The aftermath of this revolution, and how the future unfolds is important, otherwise the actions of many protesters and activists will go in vain.    Will the citizens achieve the future they were fighting for?

On a more humorous note, I found this funny:

The French are taking over the rap scene! (I am assuming he is French, but I could be wrong)  There are a lot of people who can beat box better than this guy, but he is the first to take is craft and do something different and unique with it.  Its the creativity that I think helped make this video viral.  That continuous stream of imagination, creativity, and innovation is necessary when trying to stay relevant and fresh, and he has proven that being different is what people want to see and its also what helps one keep their craft personally alive and invigorating.  Check out homeboy drop that History of Hip Hop via Beat Box.

UPDATE:  Photo essay by the Guardian

I hope they change the laws and get rid of the patriarchy.  Human Rights in Egypt and Tunisia, Inshallah.  My fear is that another corrupt individual will enter that will be lauded as a reformer but only to be the same as previous leaders (e.g., like the 1979 Iranian Revolution).  Its one thing to kick out the officials, its another thing to actually get solid reform in place.  No more oppression for the Coptics, the Maronites, the homosexuals, the Baha'is, the Jews and all the other groups I forgot to mention.

First it was Tunisia!  Now it may be Egypt.  Follow all of it as it unfolds via @aisaad

"Chalk Art" by Erick Davis...I came across these pieces of art while purchasing some gourmet popsicles at Locopops in Chapel Hill, NC.  I thought this was a cool rendition on  biology, a subject so boring that I never thought anything could make it cool.

In the last year I have come across some of the coolest accessory items I have ever seen.  I wish I had the dough to cop them.  Top item:  Nike SB skateboarding book bag.

Apart from stumbling upon this via ATC, I don't know who designed/made these posters, but they are graphic designing masterpieces.  That minimalism, bro!  If you know who made this, put it in the comments!

Check these out, chocolate chip cookies stuffed with Oreos.  This is magic and brilliance in once food.  I am feel bad for you if you have to eat gluten-free products, because this is so dope.  Better than Led Zepole's fired Oreos.  Yeah, I said it.

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 sticks softened butter
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
10 oz bag chocolate chips
1 pkg. Oreo cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream butter and sugars together with a mixer until well combined.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda.  Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined.  Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on top of an Oreo Cookie.  Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo cookie.  Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo cookie is enclosed with dough.  Place onto a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet and bake cookies 9-13 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Makes about 2 dozen VERY LARGE cookies.
